Let’s meet in person and in the online App Annie Academy
Yesterday it was announced that Mobile World Congress 2020 (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain has been cancelled due to concerns regarding the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which the World Health Organization has declared a global health emergency.
At App Annie, we had already been debating this issue and preparing to cancel our participation. This was not a decision we were undertaking lightly, as MWC is a premier global event that highlights the leading edge of mobile developments. App Annie has been a part of MWC for over 7 years. Of course, the best part of MWC has been the opportunity to meet with our customers, prospects, and partners in person. These interactions are highly valuable, since we not only get to talk about the latest news from App Annie - such as our latest mobile analytics offering, Libring -- but we also learn so much from our customers about their hopes and where they want to go next with mobile.
While we have been planning for this event with excitement for months, our top priority is always for the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners, and we agree with the GSMA’s decision to cancel MWC.
We still hope to bring the excitement and spirit of innovation of MWC to you. If you have booked a meeting with us, our team will be reaching out to arrange alternative options. For those of you who have signed up for a session at the App Annie Academy, we have good news. We are creating an online App Annie Academy. We will announce how to sign up for this in a blog post soon.
We look forward to returning to Barcelona in 2021. In the meantime, we hope to meet you soon, either in person or online.
