Today it seems fitting that we should take a moment to highlight three women from around the world who have founded top ranking apps. The success and incredible diversity of these apps serve as a testament to both the groundbreaking companies women around the world are creating and the impact these apps are having on consumers’ lives.

What it Does: Bumble is a dating app empowering women to make the first move. This feature appears to be in high demand as the app has seen strong growth worldwide, particularly in the last year.
Downloads and Rankings: Bumble saw nearly 9 million worldwide iOS and Google Play combined downloads in 2017. Bumble was the #3 dating app by worldwide iOS and Google Play downloads and iOS and Google Play combined consumer spend in 2017. Global consumer spend in the top 5 dating apps nearly doubled in 2017, and Bumble was a large driver of this success.

Downloads and Rankings: In 2017 alone, Clue saw nearly 14 million iOS and Google Play combined downloads worldwide. On March 6, 2018 Clue ranked in the top 5 Health and Fitness apps in 4 countries by iPhone downloads. On March 6, 2018 Clue ranked in the top 10 Health and Fitness apps in 2 countries by Google Play downloads.

Downloads and Rankings: Canva saw nearly 5.4 million worldwide iOS and Google Play downloads in 2017 alone. Photo editing and design creation is in high demand on mobile, particularly for its synergy with social photo-sharing apps. Canva ranked #1 for Art and Design apps in 16 countries by downloads on Google Play on March 6, 2018. Canva ranked in the top 100 Photo and Video apps for 105 countries on March 6, 2018.
