App Annie Makes the Inaugural Forbes 2016 Cloud 100

App Annie makes the Forbes 2016 Cloud 100, making it one of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.

We're extremely excited to announce that App Annie made the first-ever Forbes Cloud 100, a list of the world's top 100 private, cloud-based companies. This award is important to us because it signals that we're keeping true to our mission to provide app businesses with useful insights through app data and analytics.

App Annie’s CEO and co-founder, Bertrand Schmitt, had this to say when he heard we were selected: "As consumers around the world are increasingly mobile-first, companies from every industry are looking to mobile apps to better engage, retain and monetize their customer base. Our company’s mission is to help businesses succeed by providing them with data and insights into who, and how, their customers are interacting with their apps. We’re thrilled that our vision is recognized by Forbes, and are honored that we’re named alongside forward-thinking companies in the cloud space."

Why are we so excited? As Byron Deeter, leading cloud investor and partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, puts it: "The Forbes Cloud 100 companies represent the very best private companies in cloud computing. We will see big IPOs and category killers emerge from this list as cloud computing continues to propel the trillion-dollar software industry."

As of today, you can see the full list of companies on Forbes, or follow along on Twitter via its official @Cloud100 account or the #Cloud100 hashtag.

Thanks again to this year's Cloud 100 judges — and Forbes – for selecting us for this award. We can't wait to show you what's in store in the months and years to come.
