As the advertising industry prepares to meet at Advertising Week New York, mobile’s massive impact is front-and-center
The annual industry gathering Advertising Week New York always delivers when it comes to exciting content about the advertising industry. This year, experts from across the field will gather on September 15-27 to talk about everything from mobile best practices for marketing to millennials.
Naturally, App Annie will be there. Our SVP of Research, Danielle Levitas, will lead a seminar called “The Next Era of Mobile: How Apps are Revolutionizing the Way Brands Do Business,” on Wednesday, September 27, at 2:15 pm on the Bing Stage.
Greg Chambers, Global Group Director, Digital Innovation at Coca Cola, and Rob Rowe, SVP of Product at iHeartMedia, will cover the many ways in which apps are now integral to business strategy, whether you’re talking about expanding globally, gathering data to refine your messaging, or developing new revenue streams.
There’s rich evidence of just how radically apps are transforming how people interact with brands. In some mature markets, top users (so-called ‘power users’) spend more than four hours per day in apps. Meanwhile, mobile commerce is expected to top $6 trillion by 2021. Global app downloads are soaring, and the majority of users install at least one app per month. Advertisers are naturally going to follow where eyeballs are: global in-app advertising is projected to triple by 2021.
At the seminar at AW New York, we’ll cover how dramatic growth in the mobile economy determines how many top brands approach mobile, and we hope to see you there. In the meantime, check out these resources:
