View films and videos that were captured nearby and all around the world. Our goal is to present films and videos with historic value as an educational tool to help students relate to history through interactive content.
As a viewer you will be able to playback all of the films represented by markers in your current map view. You can zoom into a single neighborhood or out to an entire town. Films play back from oldest to newest and each one will show you where it was captured.
A long click on the remote will let you access the search screen. From there you can add keywords and limit the results by date range. Predefined searches are also available to get you started.
Teachers are encouraged to contact us through our support page to let us know what content would be helpful in their lesson plans.
In our mobile app, you can submit your own content to the project by using the editing interface to prepare your films. The editing interface allows you to mark scene breaks in your video, identify the date of the scene, it's location and also identify things (people, events, landmarks and organizations) within the scene.
